About

Growning up, my parents ran a full service interior/exterior painting and decorating business in the Twin Cities area, so you could say, I began my painting career as soon as I could hold a paint brush & climb a ladder.

My Mom is an artist and I grew up surrounded by creativy and I got hooked. I excelled in painting and drawing in high school and was often hired by my friends parents to paint murals on their kids walls. I really enjoyed helping my Mom paint murals in both commercial spaces and in peoples homes throughout the Twin Cities. My senior year in high school we were fortunate to be asked to paint a 50 foot front entry mural at United Children’s Hospital in Saint Paul. I continued to work in the painting and decorating industry with both parents while attending the College of Visual Arts in St. Paul studying both graphic arts and painting.

After college, I took a job working as a graphic artist for an enviromental engineering company in California for a few years. I ended up really hating sitting at a desk, missed the Minnesota Seasons & my family, so I moved back to Minnesota, started a painting business, got married and had a couple kids.

I have definitely followed in my parents footsteps. I am blessed with both the skills to paint on canvas for fun and for relaxation, but also the knowlege and the skills to make a good living painting the interiors and exteriors of beautiful homes all around the Twin Cities area.

I have been painting professionally for over 15 years now. I enjoy keeping up with design trends. I am a perfectionist, but I know how to get the job done within my clients time-line. I am clean, organized, on time and friendly.

My detail-oriented, meticulous approach means that when I paint a home or a business interior or exterior, I can assure you that I will produce a flawless paint job every time.

I have great client references and idustry partners ie: Abbot Paint & Carpet, Sherwin Williams, Hirshfields. I still work with my Dad who has over 50 years experience, and love my Mom’s design knowlege. We are always looking forward to new and interesting projects and challenges. Thank you for stopping by, I look forward to working with you- Nick Powell

What People Say

You can never judge a paint hue by the liquid color in the paint pot.

You must apply it to a wall, wait for the paint to dry, then decide.
